IV.  FAQ: When is the best time to take Skinny Fiber?

You can take Skinny Fiber in different doses at the times of the day that suit you best. It is recommended that you take 2 Skinny Fiber capsules, twice daily, 30-45 minutes before your 2 largest meals of the day – typically lunch and evening meal. However, we are all different and some people will find that a larger dose of 2 capsules 3 times a day or 3 capsules twice a day will make a huge difference to their results. Here are some suggested routines:

2 capsules 2x a day:
2  capsules before lunch and 2  capsules before dinner.

Remember to drink a full 16oz bottle or glass of water with your Skinny Fiber

6 capsules a day:
3  capsules first thing in the morning and 3 capsules early evening or...

2  capsules before breakfast, 2 capsules before lunch and 2 capsules before dinner. Always with a full Bottle or glass of water.

You can alter the times that you take Skinny Fiber to suit you. For example, if you are very hungry mid-morning and mid-afternoon and will be eating soon, take yours then. How should I take Skinny Fiber?

With plenty of water! This is a fiber product so you may experience bloating if you are not drinking enough water with it. Ensure your water intake is at least 2 liters a day or even more if you can manage it. I personally try to drink 6-8 16oz bottles of water every day! 

WATER IS KEY WITH SKINNY FIBER! I can't stress how effective this is as many of us don't get our required intake of water even without taking the extra fiber. Many people find taking the capsules with lukewarm water and lemon first thing in the morning also boosts their results (please make sure the water is lukewarm and not hot so that the capsules don’t dissolve in your mouth).

Does everyone experience a detox effect?

Depending on your current state of health and the number of capsules you take, you may experience different levels of detox when you first start taking Skinny Fiber. Drinking plenty of water will ensure that the Glucomannan expands to full capacity in your stomach. You can also open the capsules and mix with applsauce or yogurt for faster absorption, and 16oz of water. Many customers have experienced phenominal results this way. Some people also take 3 capsules 2x daily, if they still feel hunger after increasing water intake to 100 oz. daily.

Another reason is that your digestive health may not be good when you first start taking Skinny Fiber. 1. Know your health issues. If you have some health conditions that require medication, please expect that it may take longer for you to lose weight. Reason being, is that your body needs to be “reconditioned” first, before your body will be READY to lose this extra weight. You may have some health issues that is causing you to be overweight (and I mean that in the most non-judgmental way possible!) and preventing you from losing weight quickly. In the beginning of starting your Skinny Fiber journey (ONLY if you are “unhealthy”) you may consider taking 2 capsules 3x’s a day  before your  meals, for at least 60 - 90 days, without fail. Otherwise, you can take the typically recommended dose of 2 capsules 2x’s a day before your two biggest meals for also at least 60 - 90 days, to see real effects.

Skinny Fiber first starts working on the issues that are slowing the metabolism down, by correcting the body naturally and preparing it for weight loss - that is done by the detox that takes place in the first few days or even weeks. Spiced Crab Apple Butter



























Spiced Crab Apple Butter - Makes one 450 grams (15 ounce) jar

Ingredients:
500 grams (17 ounces) Crab Apples and/or Flowering Quince
410 ml (14 fluid ounces) water
1 tsp. whole cloves
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1.5″ sticks of cinnamon
245 grams (8 ounces) dark brown sugar

Procedure:
Halve the crab apples and put them into a suitable sauce pan with the water, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. Bring them to a boil and then reduce heat to keep a steady simmer on for about forty-five minutes or until it can be beaten into a thick pulp. Make sure to stir occasionally. Put the pulp through a vegetable mill or fine sieve and measure the final weight of the resulting apple purée. Return it to the cleaned pan and stir in 350 grams (12 ounces) of dark brown sugar for every 450 grams (1 pound) of apple purée. I ended up with 313 grams (10.5 ounces) of apple purée with my small batch so used 245 grams (8 ounces) of dark brown sugar. Set the pan on a low heat and stir for the sugar to dissolve. Bring to a boil and keep boiling, stirring frequently, until the butter is very thick. If you draw a spoon through the mixture it should leave a path behind it. This can take up to an hour to achieve, but mine only took about twenty-five minutes. Put the butter into a warmed and sterilized preserving jar(s) and tighten the lid immediately. The butter will be ready to use as soon as it’s cool and can reasonably be stored as-is for up to a year. Since the recipe includes high-acid fruits, there isn’t a need for hot-water bathing or any further preservation.

Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Butter Ball Cookies






















Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Butter Ball Cookies ~ So Easy and GOOD!
Yields - 24 cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
2⁄3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg, beaten
2 cups flour
1⁄8 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 cup cocoa
2 cups chocolate chips

Procedure:
Cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift together flour,salt and cocoa. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture,then fold in chocolate chips. With damp hands,roll dough from a rounded teaspoon into 1" balls. Place on greased baking sheet @ 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Enjoy.

Tomato-Basil Steak Salad

Ingredients:
12 ounces of boneless beef sirloin steak, trimmed
salt and black pepper, optional
6 cups torn Romaine lettuce
1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
6 pepperoncinis, sliced thinly in rounds
1 cup (4oz.) crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
⅓ cup olive oil
3 Tbsps. cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 ounces) Del Monte® Diced Tomatoes with Green Pepper and Onion
¼ cup chopped fresh basil [or 1 Tbsp. dried basil ]

Directions:
Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, if desired. Cook steak 4 minutes on each side or to desired doneness. Let stand on cutting board 3 minutes before slicing. Cool completely. Meanwhile, for dressing, whisk together oil, vinegar, garlic and salt and pepper, if desired, in a medium bowl. Stir in tomatoes and basil. Add steak; toss to coat with dressing. To serve, arrange equal amounts of lettuce and bell peppers on 4 dinner plates. Top with equal amounts of steak mixture, and sprinkle with pepperoncinis and feta.

Spiral Meatloaf With Ham, Broccoli and Cheddar
Ingredients:
1 1⁄2 pounds of lean hamburger
1⁄4 cup old-fashioned oatmeal or bread crumbs
1⁄4 cup milk
1⁄4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
4 -6 slices deli ham (thin slices)
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
10 slices American cheese, cheddar or Colby-Monterey Jack cheese, divided
pepper

Procedure:
In large bowl combine first 7 ingredients until very well mixed. Place mixture onto a sheet of foil. Press out to a flat, even 8"x 10" rectangle. Top evenly with 6 slices ham to within 1/2" of edges. Top with 6 slices american cheese. Sprinkle cheese layer with chopped broccoli evenly. Chop any big pieces smaller. Roll up starting from long side, lifting and using the foil to help you roll it all up. Roll up tightly. Pinch ends and seam closed very well. Place seam side down onto cookie sheet, or keep on the foil (seam side down)and place onto cookie sheet. Sprinkle with a little coarse ground pepper. Bake in 350º F. oven for 55 minutes. Cut remaining 4 slices cheese in half corner to corner. Place on top of meatloaf nicely, overlapping slices slightly, showing pointed sides. Bake 5 minutes longer or til cheese is just melted. Let rest 15-20 minutes before slicing. Good served with mashed potatoes, baby carrots and fresh rolls.
**"Do-ahead" Tip: This can be rolled up, covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.

Peach Ginger Hummus

Ingredients:
1 can (15 ounces) no salt added, garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) Del Monte® Lite Sliced Cling Peaches, drained, divided
2 Tbsps. olive oil
3 Tbsps. water
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsps. fresh lemon juice
½ tsp. cumin
salt, optional
⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper
2 Tbsps. chopped fresh cilantro [or mint]

Directions:
Combine garbanzo beans, half peaches, oil, water, ginger, garlic, lemon juice, cumin and salt to taste, if desired and cayenne in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Place mixture in a serving bowl.
Chop remaining peaches; toss with cilantro or mint. Top hummus with peach herb mixture before serving. Serve with red bell pepper strips, baby carrots, cucumber slices or pita chips, as desired.

Summer Everything Pasta Salad

















Summer Everything Pasta Salad- Yields 10 - 15 servings
Ingredients:
16 ounces cooked tri-colored pasta
2 cups fresh broccoli
1⁄2 pound of hard salami
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium vidalia onion, chopped
1 cucumber, peeled, seeded & diced

Dressing:
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
8 tablespoons sugar or Splenda sugar substitute
8 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup salad oil

Procedure:
Whisk together dressing ingredients. Set aside. Combine all other ingredients and toss to mix well. Add dressing. Toss to coat. Chill until ready to serve or at least 1 hour.

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken- Serve over pasta or eat just the way it is !! Save the leftovers to use in wraps, YUM!
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless skinless chicken
1 yellow pepper, cut into chunks
1 red pepper, cut into chunks
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsps. dried basil
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. sea salt (optional)
1 14.5 ounce can of stewed tomatoes
Directions:
Place chicken in bottom of the slow cooker. Place peppers and onions and garlic on top. Sprinkle the basil, oregano, thyme and sea salt over it. Pour stewed tomatoes with juice over all. Cook on low heat for 6 hours. Enjoy.

Corn, Ham & Bacon Chowder

Corn, Ham & Bacon Chowder

Ingredients:
10 slices bacon, diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup carrot, diced
3 tablespoons flour
3/1/2 cups milk
1 1⁄2 cups water
2 1⁄2 cups cubed potatoes
1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained or cream style corn
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
pepper to taste
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups cooked ham, chopped

Procedure:
In a dutch oven or large soup kettle, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Drain. In the leftover drippings, saute onion and carrots until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add milk and water. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add the potatoes, corn, bouillon and pepper. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add cheese and ham. Heat until cheese is melted. Stir in bacon. Enjoy.
